Cross country skiing and 'vildmark'

A lit cross-country track is maintained about two hundred meters from the campsite with a 3.5 and 5 kilometer track options (they can also be combined). Also, several longer and well-maintained trails start here and (for example) circumvent the lake of Dorotea. The area is also excellent for doing 'vildmark'

Huskies
		A stay at the campsite wouldn't be complete without a trek with sleds and Siberian huskies. Several Husky kennels are located in the area and information on these can be obtained from us. A husky tour usually takes a couple of hours but can be extended to last several days. Prices start at 1000 SEK per person.

Snow scooters

At the campsite one of several snow scooter tracks starts and links up to hundreds of kilometers of track.

A simple red wooden cross marks a scooter track. The Dorotea scooter club publishes a map with all routes. Scooters can be hired through reception.

Ice fishing

South Lapland is famous for this: drive your snow scooter up on to a frozen lake, drill a hole in the ice, lower the bait and wait! A good catch is always guaranteed.

Ice-skating

The campsite's frozen lake is home to relaxed ice-skating, or perhaps a more competitive game of hockey!

Snowshoe walks and mountain biking

The surrounding area of Doro Camp Lappland is suitable for snowshoe walks. Discover this form of walking and float over the snow and hills! It is even possible to ride a mountain bike through snow and over ice: fit your bike's tires with spikes and the tracks will be yours!

Skiing in Dorotea and Borgafjäll

Dorotea has a small ski hill. The facilities are opened during weekends. More alpine skiing can be done at Borgafjäll, 100 kilometers to the west.
