Dorotea is located on the E45, the Swedish North Cape route. It is 170 kilometers north of Östersund, 985 kilometers north of Gothenburg and 785 kilometers northwest of Stockholm.

Doro Camp Lappland has its own train station! No fuss carrying luggage for miles, just disembark the train, walk to reception to collect the keys of the cabin or put up your tent.

In summer the railway company "Inlandsbanan" runs a daily service on the 1300 km. long track. Prices and timetables can be found at

Traveling by car up north is easy: just follow the signs E45.
The speed limit varies between 90 and 110 kilometers p/h.

A regional bus service is available in South Lapland: Länstrafiken i Västerbotten. Bus line 45 originates in Ostersund and will travel to Gallivare in North Lapland. The bus stop is at the bus terminal in Dorotea, just a few hundred meters from Doro Camp Lappland.

Several ferry companies provide excellent connection with Sweden from Germany, Denmark, Poland, Estonia and Finland. Also, from the United Kingdom Doro Camp Lappland is easy to travel to via Norway.

Doro Camp Lappland's closest airport is 55 kilometers north in Vilhelmina. Twice daily the airline operator Next Jet flies to and from Stockholm Arlanda airport. Stockholm Arlanda is the destination of all major airline operators.

Low-cost airlines like Ryan Air operate to and from Stockholm Skavsta airport, 100 km south of the city. Additional transport is serviced by Flygbussarna, which terminates at Stockholm Cityterminalen. This bus service takes 80 mins, and tickets can be purchased at the airport or through it's web site. The bus connects to incoming flights. The journey from Cityterminalen to Arlanda airport takes 40 mins.
